Seattle VPS: AS9929 / CMIN2 vs AS4837 Plans

Choose between TudCloud’s Seattle VPS lines by comparing the published hardware, transfer allowance, and the route from your users—not the network name alone. The catalog separates AS9929 / CMIN2 and AS4837 offerings. This guide helps you build a shortlist for a website, API, or business application and decide what to verify before purchasing.
This comparison uses TudCloud’s published specifications checked on September 28, 2026. It is a first-party product guide, not a head-to-head performance test. Availability and prices are controlled by the live product page.
Start with the workload and audience
A Seattle VPS is worth evaluating when your application needs a US West Coast origin or your audience includes North America. For international visitors, measure the path from their actual networks. A short geographic distance is helpful context, but routing and congestion can change the outcome.
Write down the application runtime, database size, typical request type, and expected peak activity. An API returning small JSON responses needs a different transfer budget from a site serving large files. A mostly cached website also behaves differently from a logged-in dashboard that runs database queries for every request.
What the two Seattle lines list
| Catalog detail | AS9929 / CMIN2 line | AS4837 line |
|---|---|---|
| CPU platform | AMD Ryzen 9 9900X | Intel Xeon E5-2699 V3 |
| Memory / storage | DDR5 / NVMe SSD | DDR4 ECC / RAID-10 NVMe SSD |
| Network presentation | Separate inbound and outbound rates; monthly traffic allowance | Port rate and monthly allowance; listed reduced speed after allowance |
| How to compare | Test its own Looking Glass | Test its own Looking Glass |
These are product-page labels, not measurements of your application. A listed vCPU is not a promise of a dedicated physical core. Ask about CPU usage policy and your sustained workload if that distinction affects the purchase. See the Seattle VPS catalog for exact per-plan allocations.
Use plan examples to build a shortlist
At the time of review, the catalog lists SEA.PRE.3C4G at $22/month with 3 vCPUs, 4 GB RAM, 80 GB NVMe, and 1,800 GB traffic. The AS4837 2C2G example is $11/month with 2 vCores, 2 GB RAM, 30 GB storage, and 2,000 GB traffic. These are different resource bundles, not an equal-resource benchmark. Check live stock and checkout totals before choosing.
If the application needs more memory and storage, the larger bundle may avoid immediate resource pressure. If the project fits a smaller allocation, spending less can leave budget for backups, monitoring, and administration. Neither conclusion establishes which route performs better for your visitors.
Compare inbound speed, outbound speed, and transfer allowance
Inbound traffic generally includes data arriving at the VPS; outbound traffic includes responses and downloads leaving it. A large inbound number should not be read as the speed at which visitors can download from your site. Also distinguish an advertised port rate from sustained end-to-end throughput.
A simple planning example: 100,000 uncached transfers averaging 2 MB each represent roughly 200 GB of payload in decimal units. Add other traffic and a margin for overhead, repeat downloads, and growth. This estimate does not establish how the provider counts traffic; confirm billing direction and accounting rules for your chosen plan.
Check what happens after the allowance is used. Do not assume the behavior is identical across product lines. The published terms for the exact SKU and the checkout summary are the right references.
Run a fair route comparison before ordering
- Open the AS9929 / CMIN2 Looking Glass and the AS4837 Looking Glass.
- Use equivalent tests from the same client network and repeat during relevant peak hours.
- Record variability as well as average latency. If a supported transfer test is available, evaluate it separately from ping.
- Keep the test direction clear: the server-to-client path and client-to-server path may differ.
- After deployment, test your own application with representative requests; routing tools cannot estimate database execution time.

Seattle VPS FAQ
Is AS9929 / CMIN2 always the better option?
There is no universal winner without an audience and workload. Compare the complete plan and the observed route instead of treating a product-line name as a performance guarantee.
Can I use a Seattle VPS for WordPress?
A compatible Linux stack can host WordPress. Choose resources for the site’s cache behavior, PHP workers, database, and maintenance tasks. See our WordPress VPS sizing guide.
Should I select a plan only by its monthly traffic allowance?
No. Also compare RAM, storage, outbound rate, operational requirements, and what happens at the allowance limit. A larger allowance will not fix a memory-starved application.
